Twined with our very existence through the cuspiciousness of birthstones.
In India gem stones have always had a special place in both religious and secular life. They where used for ritual and sacramental purpose, they represented protection against malevolent forces, and had healing powers beyond their monetary worth, which in many cases was considerable they held cosmic and spiritual attributes.
On each item of jewellery where they feature the nine gems are arranged in an allegory of the cosmos
of the nine gems of the navaratna Five are considered as the maharatnani or "greater" gems they are Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires and Pearls.
